I get asked frequently on how I became a culinary travel specialist. Unfortunately the answer is actually boring. Like you I have a love for food and for travel. I was a professional chef for many years and through my travels I have developed special relationships with people when I travel.
Just recently I spent 14 days in Greece, touring the city of Athens and the islands of Crete, Mykonos, Hydra, and Poros, visiting olive mills and vineyards, eating fresh seafood and mezze and touring the marvelous city markets. I met some incredible people along the way, looked for sea glass on the beaches, and drank some full flavored wines.
This is how I travel. I fully immerse myself in to the region through food and culture, leading to amazing experiences.
